I'M DONE WITH ALL THIS BULLSHIT.
YOUNG ADULT NOVELS SELL.
PLOTS ARE STOLEN AND REUSED.
BOOKS WITH CRINGE ARE PRAISED EVEN HERE.
EVERYTHING IS SUBJECTIVE AND I WON'T GET PUBLISHED ANYWAY.
TERRIBLE BOOK.
TERRIBLE BOOK TIME.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SOMEONE PLEASE SOMEONE MAKE A WRITERS RECCOMENDS FOR EACH GENERAL GENRE OF LITERATURE SO THAT THE CRIT THREADS CAN LEARN INSTEAD OF BUMPING INTO EACH OTHER IN THE DARKNESS.
WHAT DO I READ.
WHERE DO I GO.
DOES IT EVEN MATTER.
SHOULD I JUST WRITE YOUNG ADULT AND SELL OUT OR STUDY FOR PRIDE.

It'll be okay, anon. If you wanna make a living writing novels, make a living. YA does sell, that much is true, but be prepared to compete in a highly saturated field if you want to write YA. Genre fiction sells in general. If you decide to write YA, my suggestion would be to write it in such a way you get to live the youth you wish you had. That way the readers will do the same (I feel like most YA readers are just As), or they will get to experience the youth they are missing out on by reading books all day.

They make up for it in writing, though.
