Honestly a great read
Its not actually difficult, it just has some weird formatting (not the meme wavy text but how it switches perspectives) but its easy to get used to.

Great book. Hope you enjoy it

I havent read it in years, but I remember liking the Navidson Record parts a lot, Johnny's story, not so much

>> No.13995234

It's fun. Memorable.
there are a lot of cinematic moments. In the rare times that I watch movies, especially horror movies, there are times when I'll think "oh, that's just like House of Leaves!"
I haven't read it in a while, I think there is a copy somewhere around here...

Comfy as fuck, a good halloween read. More of an exercise in style than philosophy, but it's not junk food.

It's good, but I think the ergodicism doesn't add to it. It would make a great novella.

I'm about 400 pages in. Like other anons are saying, it's good, worth reading, and not really hard at all. It has a lot of literary easter eggs as well as a good deal of its own riddles and secrets.

A lot of people hyped it up as being a horror novel and said it was really disturbing, but I don't think it's that bad.

thanks anons you really hyped me up for it

The only postmodern novel to justify the existence of postmodernism.

Johnny's story has some stellar parts but they're surrounded by so much mundane detail you almost have to get lucky and stumble on them by accident
>KIND OF LIKE WANDERING AROUND IN A MAZE
