I wasn’t saying it wasn’t classical I was saying the album he linked is not characteristic of classical music. The argument was about whether classical music has changed beyond recognition. I made the claim that, although there’s variance between different eras, you can still listen to a classical piece from the 1700s and now and compartmentalise them both as classical music. An experimental piece with all sorts of static sounds and ugly electronic sound effects doesn’t disprove that.

There’s a mainline it revolves around such that an alien with no foreknowledge could identify two classical music pieces as classical music even if they were from different eras. Fishers problem was not with generational variance, since you can listen to a rock/rap song from the 80s and the 90s and find variance; his problem was that new entire GENRES weren’t being created. I made the claim that this isn’t a bad thing; classical music has stayed the same genre for hundreds of years yet is still great.
Anyway there’s no point arguing this since you have no conception of nuance.

If I give you anything you will find a way to reduce it and relate it to previous art. Thing is, you could have done the same thing in the 90s, or the 80s, or the 70s, etc. All art evolves continuosly and pieces are only considered groundbreaking retrospectively because they marked a change in mainstream production.
