It's about an ugly girl who gets cucked by dudes. She also has a really shitty personality, sort of like a female version of the Underground man. She undergoes plastic surgery or kills herself at the end I haven't decided which depending on whether she accumulates good or bad karma by the end of the story

To become a wizard the only requirements are:

surviving depression until you hit the magically potent number 30.

Awhile ago I was responding to one of these threads with a short story that idea the was really pleasant, but went no where. As I was typing it in, it started to develop in really fantastic ways and has since developed into novel that has consumed most all of my go no where short story ideas, they just fell into place around the main plot line as though they were meant to be there. That post was meant as a way to free myself from a story idea that was plaguing me, instead it transformed it into a novel that will be the largest undertaking of my life so far, is well beyond my current ability, and is going to take years.

Keep at it /lit/, we are going to make it.

Actually, my short story ideas are going somewhere. I can bang them out in three days when I start. Wrote one about a voyeur who sneaks into peoples houses one summer and sees that people in his town have weird cubbies and hallways and behave strangely when they aren't in public
