Is university even worth it? Should I just learn a trade and become an autodidact?

So sweet and naive anon! I'm sure you will have the power and will to read anything after work.

nothing is worth it, your ideals and dreams are going to die after you finish and at best you are going to be wagecucking for a bit more but uni will leave you with knowing that those with connections and wealth are going to take your dream job positions or advancements, opportunities

Banned for discussing authors I post this here

Don’t go to US universities. Study free in Slavonia or Finland or something.
Never stop dreaming. When they don’t come true, make new ones

Yes, if you like the trades. But don't get memed into them if you are like so many of us that would be miserable as, e.g, a welder. Military is also an option. Otherwise, university is sadly still the best option.

Don't buy something you can't afford. If you consider university an investment that will earn back your money, go for it. The internet gave us the ability to study anything at any time, if you are interested in a subject because you enjoy it, you should study it in your free time.

University is the biggest scam and waste of years and money. Don't get into student debt, ever.

Are you asking a "is university fulfilling" question, or a "will university make me money" question?

Military is a solid alternative to a life of wagecucking. If you join while you're young, you have the oppurtunity to retire around 40 with a pension and (most likely) a solid amount of savings. Enough to live off of and do only what you enjoy.

Higher education is regarded as such for a reason. The entirety of academia is meant for you to be immersed in constant learning. Autodidactism may be possible, but being a student myself, I can say for sure that I would never learn as much about my art (writing) by myself while trying to balance a job as I am currently enrolled.

Of course, this is all contingent on what you want to learn and if it can be learned at university. First, you need to find out what your end goals are. Take the correct course of action accordingly.

Both. I'm currently doing a professional education as a dev while studying cultural anthropology and philosophy part-time.
It's exhausting but also fun, plus I actually make money while getting a degree.
Would recommend, at least if you're somewhere where there are no tuition fees.

Yes. Be an AC guy and listen to audiobooks all day then go home and read and masturbate.

Also you can claim PTSD disability after just a few years and get a free 30,000 a year and free health care through the VA for the rest of your life. Then you can also go to college for free indefinitely.
