What books do I read that can teach me how to live the good life?

You can't learn it in a book is the problem. You can develop approaches to life, rules of thumb and mental shortcuts that you'll probably teach to your kids though, so maybe try Taleb if that sounds interesting.

Unless you're a total pleb, which your images suggests you aren't, you'll enjoy this book and it will stick with you.

My general advice: think long-term, but not at the expense of risk-taking. Not taking risks is its own risk. Much of your unhappiness in life comes from your inability or unwillingness to take risks, socially, romantically, financially, etc.

>As Kant says, morality consists of freedom, and freedom consists of reason's control over our physical desires
