What did he get wrong?

>> No.13914717

nothing. everything he said was true. his work is just one of the toughest pills to swallow, especially for people still believing in religious fantasies

Nietzsche explained this. Evolution isn’t the solution to the puzzle, it still doesn’t explain the motivation behind life as we know it.

it does way worse than just fuck with religion, which can sort of be reconciled with it, it destroys basically all of humanism. Almost everyone has just ignored the implications of his ideas for the past 150 years.

Sure it does, survival. Beings live because to end it would be more painful than living, until it isnt and then suicide. Fucking feels good so the animals do it, dying usually feels decidedly ungood

What's the incentive for complex science to develop? How does that capacity form in a world where evolution biases toward stupidity?

It doesn’t prove or disprove a creator of the universe
So it does nothing to religion
He’s just some human Allah created like you
Science and religion can coexist and do
Six periods
Is a period a day? Maybe it’s six billion years son
Read the Quran

Macro biological "evolution" is a literal fantasy that has never been proved and observed.

Because it takes place in too large time scales, idiot. No one ever was alive to witness Pangaea either.

His theory of emotions is all over the place and not taken seriously.
Some of the examples he uses to expose transformation are faulty based on what we know now. It's also obvious Darwin didn't understand anything to statistics which misleads him sometimes.
The basic theory is also an epistemological nightmare and is purely interpretative in Darwin. Only later writers made a proper scientific claims out of it.

Reproduction is just for continued survival. It is a consequence of things dying, not the whole purpose.

>> No.13916797

His problem was not taking evolution to its fullest conclusion. Nietzsche mostly filled in the gaps for him, but there are a few things that remain for us to conclude.

>> No.13916801

Also, search up ”evolution of complexity”, I believe that is where we will get our answers.

His work is the key to understanding the intrinsic human racial differences.
MicroEvolution is proven. MacroEvolution remains to be proven, but makes sense based on what we know so far.

Yeah, but Micro-Evolution is proven, and really is a wonderful tool to use in order to understand racial and sexual behaviour.

epigenetics

He believed selection operated on the species. The more likely scenario is that it operates on individual organisms, groups, or even genes. The evolution of species is an epiphenomenon.

>> No.13916973

>>13916924
How so? Im interested in epigenetics, it pretty much says we can modify our own genes in a non artificial way. Epi "beyond" "on top of" genetics is really interesting.

Social epistasis is even more interesting

>> No.13917272

Isn't that just recessive genes? How is that more interesting that gene modification through behavior.
One is locked to mutations and the other goes beyond mutations.

>> No.13917290

>>13917272
>”Deleterious mutations are typically understood exclusively in terms of their harmful effects on carrier organisms. But there are convincing reasons to think that such adverse effects are not confined to the individual level. We argue that in social species, interorganismal gene-gene interactions, which in previous literatures have been termed social epistasis, allow genomes carrying deleterious mutations to reduce via group-level pleiotropy the fitness of others, including noncarriers. This fitness reduction occurs by way of degradation of group-level processes that optimize the reproductive ecology of a population for intergroup competition through, among other mechanisms, suppression of free-riding. Such damage to group regulatory processes suggests a hidden role for the accumulation of behavior-altering "spiteful" mutations in the dynamics of the demographic transition—these mutations may have contributed to the maladaptive outcomes of this process, such as widespread subreplacement fertility. A structured population model is presented describing aspects of this social epistasis amplification model. This phenomenon is also considered as a potential explanation for the results of Calhoun’s mouse utopia experiments, which provide an opportunity to directly test a major prediction stemming from the model.”
