I was thinking of reading Lacan but a post in some thread basically claimed he was a cult leader and another post (pro-lacan one) said his work was too vague to be either wrong or right, so does anyone have any proof that Lacan was a fraud? Or that he wasn't?

His works are a weird mixture of psychoanalysis and Heideggerian Existential phenomenology, so it's probably closer to philosophy than it could be to an empirical science.

Read Roudinesco and maybe some reviews of Roudinesco first since she is herself a piece of shit, as evidenced by her friendship with extreme charlatan Badiou

Anyone who could befriend Badiou should not be trusted for a critical perspective on whether someone is a charlatan. Nevertheless she has books about Lacan
