Could do. I saw the TV series of it recently though. The older one from the 80's or 70's I think. A later season had Tom Baker as Puddleglum. It was good.

Yup. Its also thematically packed if you like Jungian Psych and mythology. Play the rest of the Shin Megami Tensei games too if you liked the mythology stuff and have a boner for killing demons
