Rand's libertarianism is mostly a reaction to Marxism and the Russian Revolution that happened during her youth.
Atlas Shrugged is her praise of capitalism, technological development, and the American way of life turned into a 1k pg novel. It doesn't really have any compelling arguments that any socialist or radical moderate could be dissuaded by, and you'd probably only like it if you were already a fan of laissez-faire capitalism.
She wasn't particularly strong as a novelist either.
Your time would be better spent looking at AnCap memes instead of with her books.

You want to skip to at least 2/3 of the way through for the only sex scenes (which are usually rapes). It's fine though because they usually come to understand they should have wanted to be raped harder and more often, but they were weak.
