If you mean well-regarded authors, first you should have said well-regarded authors, second yes, Descartes, Engels, Stendhal, Durrell, Balzac, Hugo, Nietzsche (believe it or not, read his writings carefully), Boutang, all Enlightenment writers, and about half European Catholic writers since 1620. Medieval scholars even had a controversy on whether female was the superior gender, and it was pretty even in terms of number of opinions.

Lmao you would make a terrible historian. Even if we grant that there could not have been a Jewish theologian in Tarsus (Saul was a Jew with Roman citizenship so it's entirely possible), even if we grant it, there could be a million reasons why he (or others) would make up the idea that he was a Jewish theologian. We know that Paul was on a mission to unite Jews and gentiles and that he got a lot of pushback from Peter and other Jews who wished Christianity to stay insular and Jewcentric, so he (or others) might have said he was a Jewish theologian to win favour with the reluctant Jews and get them to convert to Christianity. But that doesn't mean he didn't exist. It's about as certain as anything in history can be that Saul existed.
