A pretty entertaining book. Best go in blind and follow each line of text. You will look forward to rereading it. Also, don’t bother with Only Revolutions, but The Fifty Year Sword is just as good as HoL, just don’t buy it. Haven’t bothered with Whalestow Letters because Johnny’s story wasn’t all that interesting to me, although I hear it’s good. Picked up one of the first volumes from his 26-tome magnum opus once, flipped through it and then put it down it looked so uninteresting.
But do read HoL, it’s a good story told in an interesting form.

Interesting concept and nice to look at.
Definitely one of the books that lose a lot of charm when read as an eBook.
Its been probably 10 years since I've read it. Maybe I should reread it since I've heard a few theories here on what the house presents as a metaphor.
