Has this country produced any literatury of value?

I don't think we have any literatury of value yet from any country unfortunately. How about you make some, anon?

Machado de Assis and Clarice Lispector would like to have a word with you. Lit is fucking trash though so I’d be surprised if anyone here has read them, let alone heard of them. Also worth mentioning are Hilda Hilst and Jorge Amato.

I'm assuming you're not asking this in bad faith.
There was a Br poster that kept pushing Machado de Assis by shitting on Joyce (he was under the delusion that Joyce was considered the inventor of modernism. Despite being corrected numerous times, he still pushed this narrative). Also, Lispector is currently popular in the USA.
