It's very good, but a good portion of the series is very slowly paced (but not as bad as some of The Wheel of Time books are), just don't go in expecting something that's fast paced and action packed, if you are will to have some patience with it I think it's worth reading unless you already have your mind made up that Fantasy sucks.
