Thoughts on this chart? I'd be interested in short reviews of some of those books.

I've read a couple of them so I'll give my thoughts. Also, rec me some books.

Prometheus Rising : Really good book, good exercises. Just keep in mind the author refers to the 8-circuit model as a map of consciousness and not an absolute truth. The Thinker-Prover chapter is a good intro.

The Kybalion : Great intro to hermetic thought in short format. You just have to get used to the specific terminology the authors use.

Fringe Knowledge for beginners : Absolute garbage written by most probably a schizophrenic. Skip it.

Adam, Eve and the Serpent : Really good book on politics of early Christianity, but don't expect spiritual truths or anything.

Archaic Revival : I enjoyed it, but skip it if you're not a fan of McKenna. I would take most of what he says more as thought experiments than universal truth.

How to Know Higher Worlds : Really good exercises, no matter you belief system. Though at the end Steiner talks more about Theosophian Cosmogony so it might not be your thing.

Undoing Yourself , just get the METHODS or exercises. Very short read as long as you skip the intro.
Where is Crowley's Libers? I see his book of lies. I'd recc Libers, which can be found online.

If Illuminati still even exists, it's a group of individuals that infiltrate and subvert governments and organizations. They leverage power to steer people towards their own goal, or maybe more accurately, they use humans to get what they want.

These books are (nearly all) so entry level that it is embarrassing to see them all put together as if some great compendium of esoteric knowledge while in truth it is a mishmash of dilletantism.

The only book I've read on that list is The Teachings of Don Juan. I gotta say, it's a really nice novel, despite being a bunch of made up stories about magical herbs and fake native American culture.

Most of the book is about Timothy Leary's 8-circuit model of consciousness. The first four are "terrestrial" meaning they're your day-to-day people. The last four are "post-terrestrial" meaning they're activated in mystical, spiritual or psychedelic experiences. He makes a lot of references to Freud, Jung and evolutionary biology. Keep in mind, this is just a model, as RAW says himself. I found that the exercises help you relate to the theory, and that it helps me better understand my own behavior.

Undoing Yourself by Hyatt, and actually do all the exercises instead of thinking about what it would be like to do them. Then go deeper.

Rest of the list looks good more or less but you don’t have to read 20 books before you start experimenting. Unless you just want to read for the sake of reading.

The Kybalion is a great book, but it's not actual hermeticism. It's mostly something like "neo-hermetics" or something.

What is being described in the Kybalion is pretty much a wave, and can be easily visualized through a senoidal graph.

This is probably due to W. W. Atkinson's dabbling with all sorts of knowledge. He probably saw something in the end of the 19th century and decided to incorporate it as some sort of esoteric knowledge.

However, it is not wrong, just not par with classic hermeticism. It does not contradict it, and quite charmfully integrates with Boehme's writings, as well as with Kabbalah and early Hermetic texts.

The sad thing about it, however, is that it opened way for new age wooers and bullshiters to mix esotericism with "quantum mysticism", and people like Montalk, Deepak Chopra, Amid Goswami and thy ealde horde of channelers who claim to be speaking for aliens started being vocal about their schizophrenia. The Kybalion leaves way for profound misinterpretation and, thus, manipulation.

Many things in this list are shitty. Blavatsky is not worthy of trust. Though she is most erudite in terms of esotericism, she outright invented many things which spoiled the occult scenery and keep doing so to our current days -- mainly the idea of the "Great White Lodge" or "Great White Fraternity".

Prometheus Rising is dilettante stuff. For the dabbling would-be magicians, but who never go beyond meditation after smoking a whole ounce of weed.

Liber Null & Psychonaut, while it certainly works, is the most irresponsible work of magic ever produced. It advocates for absolute relativism. It is the taint of post modernity invading esoterica.

I've not read every book in this list, but I'd say that
>Joseph Campbell
>Aldous Huxley
>Carl Jung
>Agrippa
>Wilhelm Reich
>Joyce
>Milton

are worth it, whereas
>Robert Anton Wilson
>Blavatsky
>Montalk

are garbage

The following, in my view, are interesting but should be taken with a grain of salt:
>Israel Regardie
>Terence McKenna
>Alan Watts
>Gurdjieff
>Aleister Crowley

ESPECIALLY McKenna. He blatantly admitted to having worked for the CIA for some years, but at the same time in True Hallucinations he subtly teaches everything he uses to manipulate people.

one world technocratic government, where everything is tracked and fed into a single AI overlord. This would make all revolution nearly impossible, even before people are convinced to put chips in their heads. Next a permanent level of slavery where the elite become a different species entirely via genetic engineering as they kill us off with wars and hidden eugenics programs. From there they merge with their AI god and blast off into the stars as we, the masses, get consumed and killed - made into flesh puppets for the archonic over-mind of the elite. This is what happens when a species fails the free will test, (not saying its written in stone).
