Thoughts? Opinions? Work preferences? Read any of his stuff and loved-it/thought-it-was-shit?

I had to take down my poster of him when chicks kept looking at him during sex. Especially climaxing.

"The Name of the Rose" is his classic, of course.

But I also really loved "Baudolino".

I've been reading 'On Ugliness,' and, mygod, the man is amazing.

Read Name of the Rose, liked it.

Read Name of the Rose, Foucault's Pendulum and The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana, and also some of his essays.

He's a very good writer, but honestly I liked the essays better than the novels. Not that I won't read the rest.

Baudolino was pretty shit...Overall he's fucking amazing, though. Check out his non-fiction after reading Rose and Pendulum, he has written some really interesting stuff.
