I make it a point to read at least a couple hours a night. I make enough meals to last the week, so I don't have to cook often. I've given up watching movies and playing video games for the most part in favor of reading and exercising. I'm pretty solitary, so I end up with reading time quite often. No such thing as not enough free time if you have your priorities in order.
Also, pilots secretly have a shit ton of free time, whether it's between students while instructing or waiting at the terminal in the airport on reserve.
