Just a quick question, /lit/, regarding a certain series of books revolving around a certain desert planet and its importance to a certain galaxy, mostly written by a certain deceased American.

If the Fremen of Dune consider spitting to be an honorable greeting, would refusing water from a host be considered an insult? If they were on the surface without a stillsuit, and they are offered water from a personal rival of theirs, would this be considered an insult? Regarding the former, would Fremen even give out their water in lavish banquets of some sort if they were wealthy in rings?

What would they think about ice, or the frosty treat that is ice cream?

Picture just barely related

Considering how prevalent poison are in Dune, I'd probably reject most foreign source of water too.
I mean a shit tons of royal deaths in the novel are by poisoning lol.
