Is there any modern (urban) goth vampire stuff out there that is not utter embarrassing crap?

I am looking for something that has a certain VtMB vibe (not necessarily set in that world) but everything seems to be Twilight and worse "Romantasy" horseshit.

Modern vampires are fucking gay. Vampire: The Masquerade was the exception to the rule.

It's worth noting though that V:TM had its role in making vampires gay, as it was part of the broader trend of humanizing vampires, making them less horrific and monstrous. Take that concept too far and you get what we have now.

I read the first few books of The Vampire Chronicles in high school and enjoyed them. That was a long time ago, though, so I don't remember much about them and can't tell you whether I'd still like them today, but I remember that when Twilight became popular I didn't make any sort of mental connection between Twilight and Anne Rice. They struck me as very different things.
