It took me so long to let go of my self-importance and make a real run at living sober. Admit you’re powerless, just don’t drink no matter what, and keep coming back really. Nothing worth doing is easy and it’s been the greatest experience of my life giving up my vices. If you relapse then forgive yourself and keep trying. Reading the Bible has really helped me.
