anybody else reading pic related book that just came out? been reading it a little today, i’m about 10% through, and so far I’m impressed. his history of countureculture movements since the 50s is very nice and has a lot of interesting references to literary/philosophical works in his analysis.

anyhow, in case other anons are curious besides angry schizo over here, i’m like a quarter way through now and it is still quite good. he repeats himself a bit, as if it were a collection of essays he spliced together and didn’t realize repetition. but it is really detailed on the history of 4chan. one thing i learned, which anons were arguing about, is that moot was from SA and most of the original 4channers were goons who also used a IRC channel called Raspberry Heaven

That's literally a timeline of everything that happened, it's as objectively readable as possible without the bias that a window-licking retard like the author would spin on it. Essentially yes, although history novels tend to describe history that you weren't a part of, that's harder to verify truth from falsehood, and that takes place in a cultural worldview that is probably foreign. The best way to learn the history of a people is to read primary documents from the time itself. There's no reason for anyone here to read a stupid book like this because you can read a timeline of events that happened and come here and talk to the people who were literally part of those events.
