>Want to read all the cool philosophers with outspoken ideas instead of the dry boring Kant that everyone somewhat praises
>Read Schopenhauer and although good 50% of the book is praising Kant
>Read Bataille and he praises Kant
>Read Nick Land for the kek memes and he praises Kant
>Read Mainlander as an extension of Schopie and its him obsessing over Kant
>Read a bit of Fichte and its him trying to desperately copy Kants perfect philosophical system but falls deeply into a confusing fuckfest of ideas
>Talk with teachers assistant at my uni and all hes studied in graduate school was Kant and Plato and never regrets a thing.
>Ask my prof when will dive into heidigger/Deleuze and he just tells me if I study Kant well enough(and a little Fichte) I can dive into any sociology (particularly Weber) and be fine

Is Kant really that influential? Is the ultimate redpill just studying Kant and forgoing everything else?

The same if you read pre-Descartes philosophy: everything directs at Plato or Aristotle. Your best bet is to read him and participate in the philosophical conversation.

>Is Kant really that influential?
Yes. The only philosophers that can be argued to be more influential are Plato and Aristotle.

Yes. Kant is probably the earlies philosopher that still has relevance, and whose ideas are still discussed.

Kant is to us what Plato and Aristotle was to Antiquity and the Middle Ages.

If you haven't read every single line of the two editions of the first critique you can't call yourself a philosopher.

Kant's Transcendental Idealism is honestly not that difficult to understand. However, it does become nuanced when one goes about justifying or criticizing it, no doubt. I'm not sure I agree with it though because from what I've read, Speculative Realists did give some decent arguments against Transcendental Idealism.
Also, Schopenhauer did criticize Kant's Critique of Pure Reason as being overly verbose and argued the Prolegomena to Any Future Metaphysics is his best book.
Keep in mind, I am a layman when it comes to philosophy.
