I can't take any criticism of Pynchon serious. Every time I see it I just imagine this smug grin in the background, totally above the scenario.

I love him so much bros. I love him so so much. Most of you probably don't love your mothers as much as I love Pynchon.

That's his doofus smile for the camera, no smugness, he's a dork. And his work is fun, that's it.

Pynchon, I know you're here.
That sex scene in Bleeding Edge, where Maxine says her hips are moving on their own, clear sign that you've been browsing too much /a/.

What are you people talking about? He has an enormous over bit and his top teeth are buckled, almost beyond comprehensions. Looks like his lateral incisors have grown in behind his central ones but his cuspids are in the regular position.

Whenever I start reading Pynchon book I say to myself "ahh, another evening with the OL' PYNCHMEISTER". I really like calling him the Ol' Pynchmeister. Sometimes I just say "the ol' PYNCHmeister" to myself for no reason and it makes me smile. It's such a satisfyingly goofy phrase.
