A lot of people are wowed by precociousness and prodigy but especially in literature this is unnecessary. Except for the disabled, we all pick up language very early in life and become fluent enough to use it artistically while we're still children.

Almost all great authors only write one, two, or at most a handful of books that are really important. What does it matter at what point in their life that takes place, when it's more like something where you spend your shot than something that gives a hint of eternal improvement?

And why shouldn't we expect there will be a more or less even distribution of people doing it at different ages?

As if it even needed to be said: Stop revering "prodigies", remove the superfluous anxiety of age-pressure from your worldview, and focus on the content.

They obviously dressed him like a prick for the purpose of the photoshoot. I doubt he goes around wearing comically oversized glasses and a bowtie in everyday life. It's unfair to blame a child, who likely has no agency in how he dresses or what photoshoots he does, for looking faggy.

Name one good book written by a child. Just because you're autistically clever doesn't make you a good writer. Maturity, experience and creativity is needed.

Most child prodigies don't end up that great as adults, or they end up messed up (pic related), and anyway, I don't think anybody worships prodigies in the realm of literature/writing at all.
