What are some books with a similar feel to Comfychon (i.e M&D, Against the Day).

>> No.13556421

John Barth. John Hawkes. They are very distinct authors but i think they both would appeal to fans of pynchon.

the cannibal is really short and seems like it must have been a sizable influence on the dark, mythical style of gravitys rainbow. the book sort of mythologizes and deconstructs the german psyche during the first and second world wars. its hard to explain but definitely worth checking out.

I second Barth. Especially Giles Goat-Boy, Sotweed Factor, and The Last Voyage of Somebody the Sailor.

Maybe also Divine Days by Leon Forrest?

M&D is weirder at the beginning because of the weird spelling/grammar, but it is very easy to follow once you get used to it.
