The Republic had moved me so much that in a fit of tears, I decided that life was worth living after all. It had persuaded me to explore knowledge even further, and I now have a math PHD and intensely study philosophy on the side.I am also now working at mcdonald’s and have been for the past few years and live in a council house, and am also thousands in debt. Maybe I was initially right after all
