Is it true that only midwits read philosophy in an attempt to understand the world instead of actually examining reality by your own merit (not looking for others to explain it to you)?

You're not advocating not reading philosophy.
You're advocating not reading period. Like, by this logic, doctors shouldn't be allowed to look through reference materials.
Heck, they can't go to uni in the first place.

lol do you really think Hegel never read any work of philosophy before writing his own? You think he was just born with the accumulated knowledge of western philosophy?

Is it true that only midwits go into science in an attempt to understand the world instead of actually examining reality by your own merit (not looking for others discoveries explain it to you)?
Does every scientist have to invent natural sciences from the ground up?

many minds and perspectives are greater than one, if one has humility. Even Science is 'peer reviewed'.

Everybody can ask philosophical questions. (What is there?, How do I know what I know? How do I ground my behaviors morally?)

But it quickly gets complicated. Convenient how we have records of people thinking over the same questions for thousands of years. Reading philosophy is like looking through other people’s notes trying to answer the important questions. Every new generation does not have to discover fire all over again.

You're basically just advocating for some kind of luddite empiricism, which is itself a philosophical position. Everyone does philosophy, the only question is how well you want to do it.
