when did this board become /philosophy/? havent been on in years and can barely find threads about books, just masturbatory argumentation over the stupidest/most worthless branch of human knowledge

Philosophy is typically done in books.

what are you on about? philosophy is done on twitter these days

It's a discussion forum. Philosophy is based around dialectic. Literature is not. Ergo, we naturally tend toward discussing philosophy, because philosophy is more amenable to discussion than literature

no, that's continental philosophy. analytic philosophy is done on a whiteboard

It’s been like this for years, desu.

because art for art's sake is a meme, and a dead one at that

Philosophy threads belong on /his/. I've noticed only Nick Land/space taoism threads get moved to /his/ whilst everything else stays here.

According to the stickied post, philosophy posts belong in /his/ unless the post is referring to a specific book.
I wish the mods actually knew how to do their job, though. The mods still ignore every off-topic political posts(that fail to mention literature once) instead of sending those threads to >>>/pol/ or >>>/trash/. This board is probably the Tumblr neo-communist containment board. Moving communist threads to /pol/ would probably cause too much of a shit storm.

>why did a board full of college aged males that think they're "different" turn into a pseud jerk

I wonder

Like this one.

It's so disappointing. Even on the /lit/ board the only discussion of stories you see is the most banal highschool grade shit. Any in-depth post about authors are sent to page 10 pretty quick. Absolute plebs

you already made another thread, oldfag attention whore

this is the one exception, the designated meta thread

fiction should have its own board or be on /his/
