How am I supposed to continue with my life after Schopenhauer has accurately described the state in which I am miserable? The self-help advice offered by normal people is trite and falsifiable. I am told to remain 'positive,' which is difficult when one is in a permanent negative state of mind, but I am also required to determine what a 'positive' influence and life direction actually is. My vain goals don't hold up, so I fail to passionately pursue anything in order to develop self-respect, but at the same time I am to understand the vanity of these pursuits and pursue them anyway. Suicide seems like the only logical decision.

Literally go out and do what you want. Note that this does not mean do what other people think is cool or right. Look deep within you and if you want to do something even if other people think it is bad or immoral, if you really feel like want to do it then do not hesitate. Even if it goes badly then you won't have to look back sixty years down the line with regret. This goes for anything even kicking puppies.

Manliness, manhood, manly confidence doesn't emerge from strength or qualities or virtues. Maybe it's modified or encouraged by them but ultimately there's no reason or logic to it, it's like something that exists spontaneously in and from itself. It's like faith; it is faith. Literally just furrow your brow and keep your head up and start getting things done
