what book can help me understand better the whole idolatry of kpop idols or anime characters? I guess it's basically anima projection but i'm asking for more books on it.

You don't need a book you just need to hit your 20s. I too thought moe trash was for faggots, how could adult men like that garbage? But then I became 20 myself and realized that the world is a pretty ugly place and even men need to seek refuge from it sometimes. And those large expressive eyes, cute mannerisms, soft features, round, unthreatening faces like those of a baby are soothing to the soul.

Good taste though, OP. Mishima wrote a novel called ‘Star’, about the acting industry in 50s or so but that might be close to literary treatment of Asian pop culture

I notice a lot of trans people tend to be into both of those, I think it's a sort of idealisation. Idols/anime characters are what they would like to be.

its not about liking girls obviously. people erp as kpop idols when they are avataring. they are projecting their anima side onto the idols

>jung
no dude it's about liking girls
nobody actually erps
they just defend their waifus
they jerk off to idols and anime characters
it's about sexual attraction and being a beta male cuck who has to settle for fantasy because he can't get a "real girl"
or they prefer kpop idols/anime girls to the girls they can actually get
so you're dead wrong and also a fucking faggot. fuck jung

The usual stuff that gets recommended: Database Animals, Beautiful Fighting Girl, >>13520061 , essays from laymen on the internet such as this link that somehow still works http://www.mediafire.com/file/i5ep6w8cqp0t5cz/a-discourse-on-and-defense-of-the-waifu-movement.pdf , probably Baudrillard too but I haven't read him, Symposium so that you can fact check people's comments on 2D being the platonic ideal of love/beauty, something about idealization and narcissism also fits.
