i think I read those as a kid, and enjoyed them as a kid.
does that mean they are good? no.
under 18? you'll have fun and something to do while youre banned.

I read all of them Last Summer, it actually is just the Belgariad saga, it continues with Mallorean saga.

Eddings worldbuilding is good. The world feels vast, it has maps (similar to LOTR), and especially there is some scenery going on similar to LOTR. The towns/cities they visit feel alive etc.

The problem is the weak story. The characters are lame caricatures of fantasy tropes. It is weak, stupid and childish.

Don't really know what to think of these books: I like some parts of them, but the story reads like a shitty Japanese RPG plot.

Those books actually make more sense if I think of them as a RPG.
