I have a bit of a negative view of China. I haven't really spent time trying to understand China, so this is a view shaped by western forces. I'm wondering what sort of propaganda China has aimed outwards? So what sort of view do those people have in our direction?
Or any similar examples from other powerful countries?

It’s complicated, but I would say that the U.S. and China’s relationship is close to Cold War era Soviet-US relations. They’re rivals, but economically they dramatically rely on the other (half of China’s reserve currency is USD, of course the US has its debts). Additionally, China greatly admires Western education, and every respectable figure studies out of country (maybe they also feel comfortable western colleges tend to be more accepting to left wing ideologies). As for why many western people (myself included) dislike China is because it’s culture and values are diametrically opposed to that of the west, and there power is only expanding their influence.

>I'm wondering what sort of propaganda China has aimed outwards?
Pic related is a compilation of speeches and writings by big daddy Xi that pretty explicitly lays out China's general strategy for the next few decades. This is a very good introduction to Chinese policy as the Chinese see it.

>So what sort of view do those people have in our direction?
In my personal experience, the average chinese person have separate view of western people/culture and western government. Here the US's soft-power cannot be understated. American cultural exports like the NBA, tv/movies, fashion trends, etc have made huge impacts in giving the average chinese person a positive opinion on the west.

Views of western governments is a bit more complicated. There seems to be quite a bit of baggage held over from western exploitation back in the 1800's. "The Century of humiliation" is very much felt by a lot of people still. As such, western governments are generally viewed as malevolent in most cases.

If you're up for finding out more, read R. Nisbett's The Geography of Thought.
I can only tell you what Russian news show, since my family watches it all the time.
So, when it comes to the Americans, they are always either 1) idiots; 2) evil plot creators; 3) pathological liars. Politically speaking. Russian news never really spoke much about American citizens. It's mostly politics on a high level, so Trump related news mostly, along with a couple of assassinations I don't remember much about.
The way they portray it is that Russia always "reacts" to the plots, lies, and propaganda of the US. Putin (he's on television way too often) always only "reacts", he is never the one who initiates anything anti-american. Americans are the bad ones because they try to conquer the world, but it won't happen since clever Russians can see through their plots. In addition to this, when questioned about any form of anti-american propaganda, Russian always respond with "well, they did it first, we have to react to it somehow, right?"
To reiterate, this is all political stuff. I don't know what Russians can possibly think of American citizens.

If I became a living god tomorrow, capable of anything, the very first thing that I would do is to put down and overthrow the current Chinese state. Specifically, I would declare war upon the CPC and make their existence intolerable over a period of a few days, resulting in their unconditional surrender to myself. I would identify as my legitimate military targets, every CPC member (something over 20 million) and their direct support within the population.

Here is exactly what I would do. First of all, I would summarily confiscate all hard-power nukes, large ordnance and heavy inventory, at a stroke and in a very visible and conspicuous way. I would then announce myself and my plan: the Communist Party of China shall cease to exist, and it shall be replaced in China by another system of government, to be determined during a transitional period, following surrender. "You can pick any color as long as it isn't Red." I'd give them a few days and fair warning as to the start of the next phase.

Then it would begin. Starting with Xi, then adding double the number every day-the standing committee and the higher echelons, until (if necessary) every CPC member is involved, I would physically restrain each person and suspend them in unending, excruciating pain which yet does not cause injury (allowing only time for meals, bodily functions and sleep) until formal surrender is obtained. 1 + 2 + 4 + 8 + ... this series entails everyone in the above 20 million estimate within a month.

Communism is an abjectly intolerable evil and must be put down everywhere that it takes root. Fortunately, the past thirty years have seen great strides in this direction, with no signs of stopping. Notwithstanding the communist-in-name-only character of the false Chinese state, it must still be eliminated on general principles. Nor, on balance, is it even legitimate to whine about CIA operations, both for the above reason (I delight in Che's corpse among other things, as should you) and also because Mexico and the Middle East overwhelmingly fuck themselves independently of CIA operations. The routine skinning and mutilation of victims in Mexico's drug war is peculiar to the depravity of the Mexican criminal people themselves, and is not down to CIA arms sales, specifically. And the Middle East, well, they're benighted by Islam. On our end, the only trouble is lack of sustained, domestic cohesive political will as a result of our own pussification. Where is the democracy?

>> No.13513578

In its present condition, agreed, but democracy as it was originally conceived in some states (land-owners) is a very attractive alternative to oligarchies/dictatorships in a patchwork setting.

I should add, whether they prioritise national or economic interests in the end, it's refreshing to see they aren't cucked by the US national interest into signing plaza accords the moment they seem slightly competitive. If only so that you won't spend the next 50 years on your fat stagnant arses

Anybody read this book or has opinions on ideas along those lines?

https://www.amazon.com/Doesnt-Have-Be-Crazy-Work/dp/0062874780

>In this timely manifesto, the authors of the New York Times bestseller Rework broadly reject the prevailing notion that long hours, aggressive hustle, and "whatever it takes" are required to run a successful business today.
>In Rework, Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson introduced a new path to working effectively. Now, they build on their message with a bold, iconoclastic strategy for creating the ideal company culture—what they call "the calm company." Their approach directly attack the chaos, anxiety, and stress that plagues millions of workplaces and hampers billions of workers every day.
>Long hours, an excessive workload, and a lack of sleep have become a badge of honor for modern professionals. But it should be a mark of stupidity, the authors argue. Sadly, this isn’t just a problem for large organizations—individuals, contractors, and solopreneurs are burning themselves out the same way. The answer to better productivity isn’t more hours—it’s less waste and fewer things that induce distraction and persistent stress.
>It’s time to stop celebrating Crazy, and start celebrating Calm, Fried and Hansson assert.
>Fried and Hansson have the proof to back up their argument. "Calm" has been the cornerstone of their company’s culture since Basecamp began twenty years ago. Destined to become the management guide for the next generation, It Doesn't Have to Be Crazy at Work is a practical and inspiring distillation of their insights and experiences. It isn’t a book telling you what to do. It’s a book showing you what they’ve done—and how any manager or executive no matter the industry or size of the company, can do it too.

Most of chink propaganda is on how smelly niggers are and how smart and soulful chinks are. Japan is portrayed as rats and Americans as fat obedient lardballs a le Wall-e. Europeans are shit(only thing the chinks got right) and North Korea is seen as oppressed.
There I have gaven you a basic gestalt in China propaganda.

russia just funds whoever might benefit russia at any given time, they also have churka immigration instead of mexican or african so it's not like they're really a "bastion of morality and nationalism against western degeneracy". Russia always oscillates between this attitude and insecure copying of the West anyway.

>which i suspect the average europe will prefer to the alternative due to the us aggressively pushing mass immigration/mulitculturalism/etc.

I'm an american who recently saw through the US media tricks on china. it really opened my eyes. instead of seeing this barbaric, authoritarian land filled with people who want to kill americans i just saw a strong country making the right decisions for themselves while the US makes all the wrong ones. Good for China for sticking up for themselves and their interests.

>hurr China stealing our IP and stuff!
Always a bit amused by this attitude. While the accusations aren't really wrong, one has to think "Well, you pretty much just let them have it..."

Surely you must've caught on after 30 years? Oh wait, you just didn't care until you realized you were going to get put out of business. Same goes for the housing market or intel agency co-optation. Again, Australia, NZ, Canada etc. wanted to pump the housing market because they having nothing else.
