I read the great literary masterworks recommended to me by you guys only for the prose. Yeah that's right. I read them purely for the prose. I don't give a shit about whatever inventive literary devices and techniques the author incorporated into the novel or some other dumb fucking criterion that is used to measure a book's "importance." How mad does that make you?
Purely for the prose baby.

Th- that's what prose is, anon.
Honestly, why waste your time like that? If you don't care about anything other than the sound of the words, at least tell me you read them all in their native languages. You at least did that anon, r-right??

FLCL was a wonderful anime. Simply brimming with youth.

Fun fact: Evangelion's character designs influenced FLCL's, which in turn became the designs Avatar: The Last Airbender was based around. Observing that face there, for example, I can basically see Aang's face just by removing the hair and adding a blue arrow.

Also, based post.

He gazed up at the enormous face. Forty years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath the dark moustache. O cruel, needless misunderstanding! O stubborn, self-willed exile from the loving breast! Two gin-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother.

The prose baby recommended to me some mad dumb criterion for the devices of inventive literary importance used to measure whatever techniques great literary guys used to make you, some other author, into purely a shit.
