Waltari is the only 20th century one with any international appeal. Otherwise Finnish literature is completely meaningless because the authors are mostly writing about Finnish cultural traumas.

"At the Last Moment" by H. R. Halli
I'm not sure if there are any translations, but it's a pretty curious sci-fi creation from 1922.
It's a story of a long-dead man from the early 20th century whose spirit is captured and reborn in the year 98 123 since 1962. Earth has long ago been knocked into a shallower orbit by a massive comet, with the continent-shattering devastation and following scorching driving what little survived underground. But while our civilization has had much time to adapt and somewhat thrive in this strange subterranean future, the world is ruled by an autocrat and his court. And this is where our machine-reincarnated man, old memories but new flesh, steps in.

Easy for a Dane to say they like Finnish lit, all Scandinavian languages are basically the same. Meanwhile you're all incomprehensible to us Americans.

Finland and Denmark are not part of Scandinavia. Danish is a Scandinavian language but Finnish is a completely different language. You should read the Egyptian tho, it's probably the best book I've read since 2015
