Can you really fully appreciate literature if you haven't been in a relationship or had sex? Just about every work of fiction and a large number of nonfiction works concern romance and at least implied offscreen sex at some point. If you've never experienced these basic parts of the human experience how can you fully empathize with the characters? And before some smartass tries to interject with "I don't really need to have done this niche thing they do in the book to enjoy it," chances are that niche thing isn't as essential to the human experience as breathing, eating, and talking are.

Yes you can because imagination trump's everything. Even real experiences are enhanced by imagination. You think sex and murder are actually any different physically to fapping and cutting up meat? It's not. The experiences are built on imagination and expectations.
So it doesn't matter at all what you have or haven't experienced.

Yes. t. Virgin who appreciates literature.

A lot of books feature murder. I don't need to be a murderer to understand and appreciate what's going on. You sound like someone who has no imagination.

The kind of people who say this will go on to berate "incels" for being obsessed with sex.

Sex differs in the amount of/chemicals it releases than fapping--skinship is quite different from fistfucking. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16095799

Murder is different from the act of cutting up meat. Of course it requires imagination, and of course the way an author conveys something is an important part of the quality of their work. But at the same time you won't fully get sex and relationships if you've never been in one in the same way you won't understand what it's like to be behind the wheel of a car until you learn how to drive.

True. Everytime I wake up I remember that I'm a virgin and thus not human, not even a mammal really. Nothing weighs as heavily on me as this. I should just go to a bar and try to get with a drunk fat girl, to become human but I'm too cowardly and pathetic.

The main point I guess is that none of my misery or loneliness is dignified, as a virgin, it's just ridiculous and childish really.

One of my brothers was a kissless virgin until his late 20s. Recently he started having sex, and he's also been plowing through a lot of Michael Crichton novels. He's constantly telling me how much he enjoys the books.

Only when you're aware of it. Turn off a persons awareness that other human beings exist on this planet, and it's no different from masturbation.

It all depends on the "you're with another person and you know it" psychology. Take that away it's nothing special

I remember how i viewed relationships before having one, and i view them in the same way after a direct experience.
The problem at best is that those who lack the experience tend to overexagerate the positive aspects of it.

You're aware it's a dream if you're able to lucid dream, so yes. The ramifications of your actions would not be processed as they would IRL because it's not real. No different from doing it in a game.

When you don't know you're dreaming the emotions you feel in a very vivid dream are probably the same as those you'd feel irl. However the issue is that the brain discards the memories of the dream I guess that's what the main difference is
