13423007 No.13423007 [Reply] [Original]

For around the past year I have been collecting LondonFrog's near daily blog posts. I am now undergoing the process of compiling them into Ebook (Epub) and PDF volumes. I have just finished and released volume 1 which contains 50+ posts in chronological order. I am currently editing volume 2. I have enough material to make a 3rd and 4th volume as well.

For the Ebook just google "The Last Binge Ever Volume 1" (the 4chan filter won't let me share a direct link), and that should take you to a link at Smashwords where you can download it. Picrelated is the cover title.

This should be obvious, but of course this is free of charge. In fact, originally I wanted to have this published on Amazon Kindle, but because they require you to have a minimum price of $1 I had to abandon the idea.

If you prefer a PDF version, you can get that here:

I should note that the indicated time of his posts are relative to my time zone. However, his posts have not been edited whatsoever. So all spelling mistakes and grammatical errors have been left intact.

Londonfrog fascinates me for some reason. I really don't care about the average r9kposter on here but something about how his life literally never changes and the way he is so absolutely stuck in this mindset and routine, also his complete lack of engaging anyone who posts in his threads, it is just very amusing. I dont understand what compels him to make those threads day after day when he doesnt even reply, he just continues this monotonous explanation of the stacies and his coffees and walking around outside. All his little phrases are amusing as well, the last binge, being 'demoralized', normies gliding through normie institutions, etc.

As the OP, this is exactly why I do see some literary merit to his posts and precisely what motivated me to compile them into a book. His desire but complete inability to put any effort into change is also why I compare him to "the internet's Waiting For Godot". Its hard to exactly explain the connection, but if you've read the play I think you will notice that reading LondonFrog's posts one after another creates a similar feeling as the play achieves.

I wouldnt have made the comparison but you have point. The crux of what makes him funny to me is the context in which he's posting though. Probablhy a majority of the board hate him, and his threads are often deleted, but he continues his senseless communication nonetheless. The actual structure of his engagement mirrors the detached absurdity of his irl experience.

Thank you for your service, OP. I may buy physical copies if you can manage it once the volumes accumulate. I enjoy the idea of having a meme archivist collection a la pic related.

I read through the first third of the pdf just now and was struck with utter terror that this may one day be me. I've become more ruthless and restless since entering the workforce, so I do not expect to do as apparently poorly as him fiscally, but rather in my private life: to engage in an endless echolalia of anonymous public self-loathing, my only private objectives pseud cred and exercise and coffee and the inescapable binge-relapse.

OP you don't even have half of the essential Londonfrog posts. You've only touched his more autobiographical works, when Londonfrog is also responsible for many of the classic copypastas on this board, like the "academic industrial compex" ones, the "munchausen trilemna" ones and all of his other critical posts in this vein.

This is just a compilation of his posts that I have been collecting since last year. Furthermore, this is just the 1st volume. I have enough material for 4 volumes (each volume roughly 50 posts), and once I have those ready I intend to publish them as well.

As for his earlier posts, depending on demand I may make a compilation of those as well. Probably not all of them. But a compilation of his highlights from say 2015/2016 ~ July of 2018 seems like a good idea.

I'm fully caught up on his posts, and the goal is to publish these volumes until it is caught up to the present. After that I am unsure whether I will continue or not. The purist in me wants to, but at the same time I can imagine myself eventually getting tired of it. For now though, I have enough motivation to imagine myself continuing.

As for an introduction from LondonFrog himself, it would be an honor. However he ignores most if not all discussion about him, and I'm not entirely sure if he will even acknowledge this compilation. But if he does, and if he wants to give an introduction that would be fine.

Figure this one out for a brainlet. Is each post 4+ pages long on average? Or are the volumes intentionally booklets, or what?

>> No.13423951

Holy based. I just want to thank OP, as LondonFrog has easily been my favorite poster anywhere on the internet for years now; truly a chronicle of modern ennui and anomie. You're right, his post volume is incredible, often it is at odd times as well, so it's very easy to miss. Usually his threads will get 1 or 2 replies before they are archived as well. Good job catching what you have, this is truly going to go down as one of the classic /lit/ works and I'm definitely going to enjoy reading a compliation.

A suggestion: usually he uses the same image for a long time in a row, always a variant of the sad frog, however the picture itself has changed over time. Perhaps tracking the older uses of that certain picture he used to use could yield otherwise hidden results, however it would definitely be labor intensive.

Also if the frog himself wrote a short blurb it'd be amazing. Many props OP, I've been thinking of doing such a project for a while myself.
