Alternating between Fahrenheit 451 and Tipping the Velvet.

My friend and I formed a book club consisting of only the two of us, so we're reading Fahrenheit together (I picked it because I've seen it ripped apart here a lot, but I've never read it myself). So far we're both of the opinion that it's okay, but obviously a book you'd read in high school. I probably would love it if I was still sixteen, but I think it takes itself too seriously.

But Tipping the Velvet rules.

I'm really enjoying it actually. Her writing is a bit long winded but the story is great nonetheless so I can look past that.

Towers of Midnight, book thirteen of the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.

Really enjoying it. I can easily see the difference between the writing styles of Jordan and Sanderson, and I think I like Sanderson more. He doesn't go into so much description of clothing, architecture, weather, faces, hairstyles, etc.
