I wouldn't put it that way at all. It is, however, a good book. Hope you know your way around the bible!

>is it really the "dark souls" of books?
In several ways, yes.
>the setting is a world that is dying slowly and the lore is that a savior will one day bring a new sun to revitalize the world
>protagonist goes on a journey where he encounters monsters, enemies, landmarks, and sometimes legendary figures
>technically sci-fi but most of the time feels closer to dark fantasy

If you didn't think the part where he impaled the false godhead with his fucking palm and pushed him off the side of a mountain was great, or even inspired literally any thematic of metaphorical thoughts in you at all, you might be reading the wrong book series

it is not really that difficult, I think that people say it is because there are tons of...future archaic (lol) words that don't exist in our language in the books. this and the fact that, for example, he calls an alien steed a "destrier" does not really confound one's general comprehension of the story. other than that, pay attention for symbolism, and pay close attention to the descriptions of the various technologies the protag comes across

Nigga you just went full retard.

>> No.13402016

is this the one where the protag rapes his sister or some stupid garbage like all the ladies fall in love with him upon first sight
