I love "After The Race." It speaks to me, because I've been in that scenario before. I've been in a scenario where I'm trying to keep up with richer friends and quickly run out of money.

"Ulysses" is one big wank session by Joyce. I read it in graduate school. The more I think about it, the more I realize how much it reveals Joyce's incredible, towering genius. But, at the same time, it makes me think less of him as an artist. That makes sense, right?
