Is it worth reading?

>> No.13324412

Yeah but don’t feel like you need to follow the religion.
Also ignore Catholics who come into this thread if you know what’s good for you.

so it's not ok to not follow the religion but it's okay to ignore and not discuss it with other believers?

You won't need anything else if you read good translations faithful to the original Hebraic. I recommend the Restoration Scriptures True Name Edition Study Bible 3rd Edition. Best version.

welcome to root Christianity, free from judeo-Catholic paganism

it is the most faithful to the original scriptures. including untranslatable terms fully explained, like the mention of Christ in the very first verse of Genesis.

That's literally the marker for a definite indirect object in Hebrew. It's used thousands of times in the Bible, Jews in Israel say it thousands of times a day.

extremely thin onionskin paper and no heretical apocryphal/deuterocanonical books, dual-column with 10pt condensed font it's doable.

god tier translations:
Knox - fine poetry, only real useful Vulgate translation
Unvarnished New Testament - great Koine paraphrase, very textually faithful
NABRE 3rd study edition - footnotes are actually very helpful, see Mt 19
New English Bible Oxford 1976 study edition - best of the dynamics
Maaybe RSV - like the Didache edition but they cut out the textual footnotes and butchered the psalms
also the new NLT CE is surprisingly faithful and decent, lots of good alternative readings

Yes. Just reading it cover to cover should normally make you wary of judaism and christianity though.
