Harold Bloom mentioned once that his first true love was a character from literature. My question is, have any of you ever been obsessed with an idea or character to the point of actual daily disfunction? I went for years with undiagnosed OCD and I was up at night reading so obessessionally over topics that I was interested in I drove myself to physical nausea.
