Does it get better /lit/? I'm almost halfway done, but I'm not sure if I want to continue or not. Celine is a good writer, but Journey to the End of the Night comes off as being my diary if I kept one.

I choose those, first because poetry is a proof prose itself makes a text good, ISOLT is pretty much 4000 pages of poetry, in prose, that is just beautiful.
And Ulysses, well if you're on /lit/, you probably know about Ulysses.

Ignore this bobo. Céline has great prose in french, no doubt, but his style is overrated by frogs. Maurice Bardèche knew this. Manheim is a fine translator and the french bobos who praise his style do so to avoid having to deal with what Céline is really about. They'll probably quote some bullshit he wrote about how style is everything...taking Céline at his word like that...very, very cringe.
