What is the deal with books that have those raggedy-edged uneven pages? Is this meant to be some kind of a rustically uneven selling point? WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE OCD FREAK SHOWS??

Pic related as I was excited to pick it up used for $2 today and over the course of the afternoon came to realize that the raggedy pages sent chills down my spine
