How does being Kaczynskian change your practise in life? Are there any concrete things you choose to do (or choose not to do) because of being anti-tech?

Well, I generally refuse to engage in consumerism. I am laying the groundwork for escaping technological society as much as is possible (for example, saving money for land away from urbanism, learning self sufficient food production, etc). Most of my purchases over the past few years have been books, food, and a few guns. It actually couples well with virtue ethics, and when taking breaks from civilization it is much, much easier to live a virtuous life.
So, I haven't done too much yet being honest, but I am trying and it is more so a fit for what I was already doing plus it gives me a larger picture and goal

Interesting! Thanks for sharing.

I am also more of a viture ethicist than anything, but it never hit me that not engaging in consumerism could help that.

Do you think escaping technological society is something most knows is best for them, but they refuse to make the leap because of the pleasures that lies within it? Almost like they're standing before a leap of faith?

First of all, I genuinely believe in a natural division of the human soul (aka mind here), and that some people are born rational and some born emotional, although most are somewhere along the spectrum.
So, with that in mind, I think the ones who are rationally inclined tend to be idealist(ic) and can be happy without the pleasures of modern society. I like to think of myself as one, but the issue is that modern consumerism is full of distractions. These mental distractions interfere with virtuous (i.e. rational) actions. For example, porn. I hate watching porn and I have gotten better about avoiding it. But there are countless triggers online that make my primal mind go, "oh go to pornhub real quick" and often I give in simply because there is no benefit to defeat that desire in that moment.
Anyhow, there are few rational basises for engaging in consumerism. The vast majority of people do so for material pleasure and emotional reasons. These people are constituted to do so. Some, naturally, are caught in limbo and don't necessarily *want* to be a corporate slave but reasonably accept that escaping is difficult and possibly fruitless.

So, I do not think escaping is in "most" people's minds, certainly some. Some simply do not think it is possible to be happy without material pleasure. This division essentially marks two different "species" of humans, or at least their thoughts, in that a materialist cannot exchange (or breed) ideas with an idealist and make viable offspring. They are fundamentally different minds, and no amount of argumentation will change that. I am for forceful anti-tech measures, though, and am not opposed to destroying technocrats when the time is right. This is related loosely to my ethics, but is grounded in other beliefs I hold

Christian Pessimist.
I was convinced by three people.

Simone Weil made me a pessimist christian.
Kaczynski made me a neo-ludite.
Oswald Mosley made me a corporativist.
