You want a prompt?

It is statistically vastly more likely that your epoch-defining artistic vision is unreadable horseshit from a hipster who only half understands what he's trying to do

Of course it's a job. It's only not a job if you're too shit at it to get paid for it

>b-but m-muh integrity

If nobody likes what you make, not even enough to throw you 99 cents for your work, it is statistically unlikely that you are a misunderstood genius, unappreciated by the Philistines of your time. Much more likely is that you're just shit at your "art," and trying to cover the bruises on your vastly unwarranted ego with excuses and sour grapes.

What are you giving it up for? I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer, but it’s as if you’re implying you’re going to give up high art and try to find mass appeal. The thing is, it’s likely that no one will read your shit regardless.

Are you giving it up because you’re admitting to yourself that you don’t have enough intelligence to write originally, even as a hobby?

It's more comforting to bad writers to imagine themselves as noble, starving artists, too pure to lower themselves to chasing filthy lucre as a commercial hack.

This generally precedes the worst moment of a delusional bad writer's life, when they finally condescend to write something for the contemptible mass market, and then 40 rejection letters inform them that they were just a bad writer the whole time.

Better to stick with the delusion and not risk bruising contact with reality.

Kinda.

Prose is a chore and I don't think anyone really writes specifically for themselves. The point is to communicate something, right? I feel as though creating something that is purposefully more difficult and for a limited audience defeats itself a bit. There's a place for that, but I know that I'm not some towering genius and that whatever I wish to convey could be done more effectively by utilizing familiar formats.

A lot of it is the loss of momentum. Again, so much of prose is such a chore. I want my workflow to be so much more energetic and exciting than it is now.

It depends. If you want to be a storyteller, then it's incumbent on you to tell good stories -- ie, ones that entertain people and keep them engaged and in suspense and maybe even change their outlook a little. And stories do tend to have a basic common structure

>>13205784

Right?

>I'm not shit, I'm just not going to waste my genius chasing mass appeal
>I have nothing to learn whatsoever about this thing I want to do, I'm perfect already and if others can't see that it's their fault

>>13205803
Yeah. I admit it's more utilitarian than artistic, but it serves the goal.

>> No.13205835

>>13205818

Then go tell good stories. Anyone who'd shit on you for learning storytelling structure is one of those "noble starving artists" who are in fact just lazy and terrible writers.

Well... I’ve just now come up with it. It’s more flowered from the literary motif of the “Male Amazon” featured in the pic’s book. Not sure if you’ll like it.

A young prince leaves his struggling kingdom to open up some trade routes by delivering his sister as a possible bride. One of her handmaidens is a tall and muscular woman who also acts as the princesses bodyguard, staying very close by at all times. It is rumored that this woman is a man. This stirs the young Prince, who likes men, and likes the handmaiden even more when he sees her figh off some well armed bandits along their journey.
She is a woman though and it’s heavily implied that her and the princess are l-l-l-l lovers (no one can bring themselves to say such a thing. This all complicates things once negotiations get underway

Meh. Resolve it how you like should you accept to

>>13205863
That’s terrible.

Turns out the prince is actually a 26 year old and the woman? 20 years older. But she’s still muscular, pretty heavily in her legs and butt area, and she does kegels too, her vagina is tighter than anything known to man.

Once the prince is about to cum, her vagina is so tight, it basically asphyxiated his dick and it falls off in her pussy.

Asshole

No they’re not. Turns out he was just pretending to be gay and her? He finds out she’s actually a woman who masturbates every day to him. Here’s the catch: she already has a collar with his name on it, and she’s going to put it on right now!
