I know King is a hack in general more particularly for the picky pretentious /lit/ard but is this book any good, I read Salem's lot and The Shinning back in the days when I was an edgy YA but I keep seeing this one being posted from time to time, is it worth the investment?

It has its moments but I thought the ending was a big letdown. Not as much horror as his usual work though there are a couple scenes
I enjoyed the incel/neckbeard character but the old magical negress was pretty cringey.

As usual, King wrote some dope characters (seconded on the incel, his development was exciting to follow), but once they all come together, the story drags. The ending is his classic "God brought them together to stop bad guy", imo that's a letdown, because there was no epic confrontation. The titular Stand doesn't happen.
