It's a great book when you pretend the protagonist doesn't exist. The rest of the characters and their stories are pretty good.

I read 400p of AS and then dropped it because it was written for stupid people and Rand's ideas are naive
I've heard fountainhead is more of the same but better. May give it a shot but will give it no literary respect
