Thinking about becoming a cop, every sauce online is worthless and written by a retard. Wondering if /lit/ knew of any good books or autobiographies related (or if I'm lucky, directly involved) with the subject.
Ausfag btw

Well there's your problem, OP. As a rule, police are not very well paid and when they demonstrate a serious degree of intelligence, they stop being cops and start being detectives, forensics experts and federal agents. In an ordinary police officer, you rarely if ever see both the skill and motivation required to get much past HS and vocational school. It's no real surprise that they aren't writing good books about it.
That doesn't mean they're unintelligent, but it does make their biographies horribly uninteresting, because they have little control over the language.

Nope

That's a shame, makes sense though. All the first-hand advice for entering the field is useless then... Damn

My mum's best friend has been a cop, and then detective for roughly 20 years now. She is one of the kindest, most courteous people I know, and is also well-read and intelligent. And yes, ausfag here, as is evident with 'mum'.
