Hi guize, which publishing company has the best cover designs? This is important to me, because if I'm going to buy a book for myself the look of it as an object should be aesthetic (otherwise why not just check it out at the library?)

I really like antiquarian hardbacks. If you're looking for something more modern, I think Penguin Classics look pretty slick.

i think penguin modern classics can go either way, really good or really awful. i think the colour scheme of penguin classics is really nice but usually the picture ruins them a bit, but again, it can go both ways.
