Just bought the reader's edition. What am I in for exactly? I've read a lot of his stuff already and some of it made me a little crazy, and I'm particularly curious how high on the crazy meter this one is

I'm a hobo living in the third world and I also own a copy of this. I ordered it online while I was drunk. Is it good?

Amazon.

It is a Bible.

I won't waste more than 50$ on a book, sorry. I'd rather spend it on booze and whores.

The normal edition with the pictures is fucking giant how does anyone read that thing

I dunno, I've had it for a decade and I use it as a plate.

The person who wrote the essay in the introduction recommends you read through the book before you look at the pretty pictures, and the other edition is huge and difficult to hold for practical reading. Besides, the leather bound reader's edition is very high quality, and you can get an ebook through the sticky if you want pretty pics anyway.

Fuck those two posters, go to bookdepository, literally don't order from anywhere else. Lowest prices and free shipping.

Ah, feels good to have Amazon.

>> No.13124548

The shipping is not really free. It's included in the book's price. That's the entire basis of their business model.

Hate to break it to you but the shipping is not really free. It's included in the book's price. That's the entire basis for their business model. That's why their books are way more expensive than Amazon's. If that website is the cheapest way for you to get certain books, then all's cool, but for us in the West (Europe, Anglo and Latin America), Amazon is less expensive for the most part (there might be exceptions, though).

Jung's diary desu.

A very insightful man's vision of the journey into his own soul. Think of it as a travelogue. You should read some other work of Jung's first, to better understand his imagery and turns of narrative.

It’s not as much a book to read through in a linear fashion as it is an artpiece, something to flip around in, get lost in from time to time, and study at one’s own leisure. It’s a crazy mixture of surrealistic art and something like automatic/channeled writing, Jung exploring his own subconscious mind. As such, it’s more fragmented, chaotic, non-linear, and dreamlike than it is a straightforward rational linear book to be read from the first to the last page in order to make sense of it.

>> No.13126894

>>13126527
any actual reasoning behind your claim? I'm curious to know why you think he's useless as he's on my list.

>> No.13127152

>>13126894
I believe he means the book not Jung himself and his other books. He's still wrong, though.
